Ichirou, a young Japanese man, lives and works in Tokyo. Day in and day out it’s work, work, and more work. He hasn’t dated or had a meaningful relationship in years. To relieve his stress, he takes up cycling. When his past love moves on, gets married, and has her first child, he has a breakdown.
Riding out to the countryside for a much needed vacation, he ends up broken down in a tiny, remote town. Here he meets many people, including a pretty innkeeper named Sasaki, who give him a different perspective on work, life, and love.
